Process Improvement
Changing Its’ Process Improvement methodology will provide the framework for reviewing and assessing the performance of your business processes and helping ensure that the business processes’ goals are met. Our process improvement methodology will track, measure, analyze and report the outcomes and the results of processes in various business areas to help ensure high process quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
In addition, we can offer advice and training on the latest Lean and Six Sigma techniques, as well as the use of tools such as Casewise or ARIS for dynamic modeling.
Process Improvement activities are tightly integrated with Quality Management System processes and are aimed at helping to ensure that you continue to deliver high quality products and services to your customers through high quality processes. Our Process Improvement methodology includes establishing the standards and expectations for process performance in various business areas and at different stages of the System Development Lifecycle (where applicable). Various processes within are assessed against established standards. The assessment identifies processes that are in need of improvement and those that are deserving of recognition and wider implementation. The causes and impacts of any deviations from the expectation are determined and a corrective action plan is developed and finally, improvement is implemented and verified to establish if the corrective action resulted in improvement of the entire process. It is important to note that all threads of the project are subject to process improvement.
Additionally, only an environment built upon open and honest communication, can there be a vigorous exchange of ideas and a critical assessment of things that need to be improved.
The process improvement methodology will include the following key phases:
- Establish process performance expectations and standards
- Gather and compile actual process performance data against measurable parameters
- Review and validate collected process performance data
- Measure collected data against performance standards, identify deviations and report outcomes
- Assess deviation cause and impact and offer process improvement/correction actions
- Implement improvement or correction
- Evaluate the “modified” process for the effectiveness of the correction against established performance standards
